6. Vehicle Hire Agreements
Any vehicle supplied by DriveSimple is provided under a separate Vehicle Hire Agreement.
The Vehicle Hire Agreement will contain the full terms governing matters including:
- hire period
- payment terms
- mileage allowances
- vehicle usage
- driver eligibility
- insurance requirements
- fines and penalties
- vehicle return conditions
If there is any conflict between these website Terms and the Vehicle Hire Agreement or associated documentation, the Vehicle Hire Agreement will take precedence.
7. Driver Eligibility
Customers hiring a vehicle through DriveSimple must ensure that any driver of the vehicle:
- holds a valid driving licence recognised in the UnitedKingdom
- is legally permitted to drive in the UK
Further driver eligibility requirements may be set out in the Vehicle Hire Agreement.
8. Insurance
DriveSimple does not provide motor insurance.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that any vehicle supplied through DriveSimple is covered by valid motor insurance for the full duration of the hire period in accordance with UK law.
Drivers must ensure that valid insurance is in place covering their use of the vehicle.
9. Regulatory Status
DriveSimple Ltd is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for consumer credit activities.
DriveSimple does not provide consumer credit, hire purchase, or regulated finance agreements.
All vehicles supplied by DriveSimple are provided under vehicle hire agreements.
DriveSimple provides vehicle hire services to:
- Limited companies
- Partnerships
- Sole traders and business users
Where a sole trader or individual enters into a hire agreement, the agreement will only be offered where the transaction:
- qualifies for a relevant exemption from FCA consumer credit regulation, including applicable business-use exemptions under UK financial services legislation; or
- falls outside the scope of FCA consumer credit regulation, for example where the hire arrangement is of a duration that does not constitute a regulated credit agreement.
DriveSimple reserves the right to decline applications that may fall within regulated consumer credit activity.
Customers are responsible for ensuring they understand the nature of the agreement before entering into any hire contract.
10. Nature of Agreement
Vehicles supplied by DriveSimple are provided on a hire-only basis.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing, vehicle hire through DriveSimple does not include any option to purchase or acquire ownership of the vehicle.
Customers acknowledge that they are entering into a vehicle hire agreement and not a finance, credit or hire purchase agreement.
11. Vehicle Availability
Vehicle images, specifications and descriptions displayed on this website are for illustrative purposes only.
Actual vehicles supplied may differ in specification, colour, trim level or model year depending on supplier availability.
DriveSimple cannot guarantee the availability of any specific vehicle displayed on the website.
Where a requested vehicle is unavailable, DriveSimple may offer a reasonable alternative vehicle.
12. Delivery and Supply
Any delivery or collection times provided are estimates only.
DriveSimple shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond DriveSimple’s reasonable control, including:
- vehicle supplier delays
- transport or logistics delays
- registration or administrative delays
- events beyond DriveSimple’s reasonable control
DriveSimple will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of any delays.
13. Mileage and Usage
Vehicles supplied through DriveSimple may be subject to mileage limits or usage restrictions as specified in the Vehicle Hire Agreement.
Additional charges may apply if mileage limits are exceeded.
Full details of mileage allowances and any applicable charges will be provided in the Vehicle Hire Agreement.
14. Third-Party Services
DriveSimple may introduce customers to third-party providers including vehicle suppliers or insurers.
DriveSimple is not responsible for the services, policies or contractual terms of third-party providers.
Any agreements entered into with third parties will be governed by those providers’ own terms.
15. Intellectual Property
All content on this website including:
- text
- branding
- logos
- graphics
- images
is the property of DriveSimple Ltd or licensed toDriveSimple.
Content may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without prior written permission.
16. Limitation of Liability
